High Level Statement of the Role:
To provide implementation and support of manufacturing processes within a business unit to ensure processes are capable and repeatable..
High Level Statement of the Role
Provide the technical expertise linking design requirements with production realities. Partner with assigned customer engineers to enable design and manufacturability to develop and implement process that provide 100% on time defect free results.
Roles and Responsibilities:
(Include Safety and Environmental, Quality, and Job Specific Roles and Responsibilities)
·Owns new product projects including technical review, design, tooling, cost analysis, the 1st article, and vendor auditing.
·Work with HQ product development teams to assure new parts meet specifications and suppliers understand and are capable of producing to.
·Capable of setting up processes that include a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic and glass.
·Conducts reviews of relevant industry standards and determines steps necessary to achieve them.
·Able to translate design requirements into manufacturable product by developing and implementing repeatable processes producing on time defect free results.
·Able to apply concepts such as DFA/DFM, Lean Manufacturing and DFT.
·Understands the capabilities of all machinery and equipment to meet design requirements.
·Knowledgeable of cost and life cycle on mold/tooling in plastic injection molding, die-casting and metal stamping
·Conduct supplier assessments and process control auditing
·Develops, communicates, and participates in implementing manufacturing process strategies.
·Must be very knowledgeable of manufacturing processes, both supplier and customer.
·Able to balance customer and company needs.

Qualifications:
Work/Educational Requirements
·BSME or BSIE preferred
·BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
·3-5 yr relevant experience in manufacturing.
·Bi-lingual Chinese and English
·Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is results driven
